DEVOTIONAL: John 3:16

 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

How often as human beings do we feel not good enough, not chosen? How can we feel this way knowing how much God loves us that He sacrificed His Son for us? Its human nature to feel less than sometimes but as Christians we must remember that we are chosen, that we are good enough and the proof is that God sacrificed His Son for us. 

Trying to understand what God did and why He did it from the position of being a parent, it is hard to fathom. Honestly, there is no one for which I would sacrifice my child for and yet, this is what God did for us. This is what He knew He was going to do from the very beginning and all to save us, sinners. 

If this act of God is not enough to show us how much God loves us, how much he cares for us then I don't know what is. 

Today, lets remember that we are loved, we are chosen. That our salvation was on God's mind from the very beginning and that is how special we are to Him.

DEVOTIONAL: Deuteronomy 31:6

DEVOTIONAL: Deuteronomy 31:6 - "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord Your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you." Give thanks to the Lord for never leaving our side. God is constantly fighting battles for us even the ones we do not see. Everyday he protects us from harm. Simple things like getting home safely from work or school are all the works of God's hand and yet so often we take it for-granted. The Word promises that God will never leave our side and because of this we are called to move through life without the burden of fear - how liberating! Go into this day knowing that God's got you. He will fight your enemies for you. You are already victorious because of Him.  Amen,
