DEVOTIONAL: Romans 8:28

"We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them."

Sometimes we set ourselves up for disappointment. We speak about something too soon, we reveal too much of our plan and then feel bad and embarrassed when things don't work out as we had planned. Often we speak out of excitement around people we think we can trust and that's okay but there is power in keeping some things to ourselves and even more power in taking our hearts desires to God in prayer and asking Him to make provision for them in accordance with His will.

When God makes us wait for something, we can find ourselves feeling frustrated and growing impatient because He is not delivering on our time. We feel stuck, we feel that God is not working, that He has forgotten about us. This is furthest from the truth. Our disappointment is often God's appointment! He never stops working and will reveal His perfect plan to us in His time - experience and many-a-disappointment's have taught me that when God shows up HE SHOWS UPPPP! As the Word says, God is working things out for our good. When He makes us wait, that "No" is protecting us , that "not now" is because something better has been planned by God. I have seen this happen in my own life time and time again, God has never disappointed me and He will never disappoint you. God sees what we cannot see and so we have to trust Him to be our shepherd, to guide us and to get us through safely and victoriously.

Today let us pray for Gods will to be done in our lives. Remove from our hearts and minds that which is not from You oh Lord. Reveal to us Your plans for our individual lives and help us to walk in faith as you lead us through the valleys and peaks of our lives , helping us discover our purpose on the way.

Amen.
